A bit of a scary revelation
A while back Ign.com released an article about the state of the rpg's on the gamecube. You can find it here
http://cube.ign.com/articles/634/634965p2.html
After reading through the entire report, me and my buddy came to a very startling realization. Had Hiroshi Yamauchi agreed to go with Sony for the CD add-on instead of the Phillips (the screw ups who made those horrible CD-i Zelda games which we will never speak of again) then there would be peace on earth and no wars at all. Well, no console wars, at least. If only were able to go back ten years and switch the contract deal, we would all be playing sequels to super mario rpg, playing on DSP's (DS + PSP
) and sitting atop the greatest partnership in the world and laugh together at that pitiful X-Box 360 and it's faulty heating fan.
*sighs* But alas, out of Nintendo's own poor decision lead to the birth of it's greatest rival and competitor. Which makes one think, what would the world be like today if Nintendo had stuck with Sony over Phillips?
