really, i dont know, i just dont like the progress of it, i mean its a good story but it just didnt catch my interest as much as the others

I have never played FF9...i say my freind playing it before but it didnt really grab my attention. The graphics in FF9 i didnt like compard to the way FF7 and FF8 is. The main character has a rat tail????

They don't have to all be realistic to us.. It's more fantasy-ish having them more different, like Zidane with a tail and Vivi as a Black Mage rather than a human, makes it more of an interesting change!

Is it really a change though? What about Nanaki. I thought FF8 was pretty meh along the lines of characters being so 'normal' in a way.

I haven't played it. Pretty much the only FF game i've managed to play is 7 because it was available for the P.C.

I did play 8 years and years ago at my friends. I remember Squall waking up in the hospital part after the fight intro bit, me walking around aimlessly for about half an hour then managing to get outside and into a fight with something. Didn't play any other FF's for ages because i'd always play the games my brother had, and he didn't play FF at all.

Well I meant change as in having most of the characters different creatures rather than mainly human. (For example when you first walk around in Alexandria you end up seeing a Hippo family running a hotel!)

I can see why people didn't like it that way though. But a silly reason to dislike the whole game!

It actually doesn't really surprise me all that much that people didn't like 9 due to that, though.

FF7 is what made FF a flagship title and many of the fans only played 7 and 8 before 9 came around. 9 was the answer to the old school fans, looking for that old nostalgic experience.
