FFTA sucks

The characters are poorly made, laws aren't too bad,infact those are ok, but the storyline had a very boring setup, but the side quests were good
but, some of the moster designs were crappy though

I thought Tatics for PS1 was a good game, wasn't the best game but I liked it, played too many times to say otherwise. But the game boy version was confusing at first. But it was alright. I'm not sure I would want to see a sequel to this game, the first one was good, but not worth a sequel because they would probably butcher it if they did.

I like tactical games, so a game with a similar battle system would be awesome. it wouldn't have to be a direct sequal, in Ivalice. They could do something like the FF, where there are sequals unrelated to each other.

I still play FFT just for the random battles. My biggest complaint about FFT is that after awhile, the AI becomes entirely too predictable. But the battle system is really well done and deep, which is quite rare for games these days.

Well, considering that the Ivalice alliance project, with three separate games, is coming out next, I think that all Tactics fans will be made happy, after all we have:

The Final Fantasy Tactics remake:
   Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War (PSP)

The FFTA sequel:
   Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Black Book (DS)

The FF12 sequel:
   Final Fantasy 12: Revenant Wings (DS)

Not a bad haul for one year emoticon

well, I have a ds so I will check them out. Most ds games I think have been kinda disapointing though. the graphics are bad and i just find it hard to get into them.

The new pokemon games for ds have better graphics then most games for the ds. I would by the new games if they had grafics like that at least.

It is true that the AI becomes predictable on the tactics version of FF, including the advanced version. I noticed that too.

But I do think that making another one like said before, with same battle system but different storyline would be interesting. I'm not against it, I just think that it wouldn't work as a direct sequal. But, as said also by the same person, if it is done like the other games where each one isn't a direct sequal to the previous game, then it would be interesting.
