DOA: Dead or Alive (Movie) Well, the DOA movie has been out for awhile now, in just about every country BUT america... I've seen the first 10 mins of it thanks to youtube, but thats about it. What are your impressions of this movie?

This is sadly true.
I find it funny when people complain about movies based on beat-em-up games. The plot is barely covered in the games, and half the time differs (eg Street fighter, Soul Caliber, mortal combat) in each game anyway.

About the only complaints I got about it so far, is the woman who plays as Kasumi doesn't really have that... emotional feel to her like the kasumi in the games.

Re: DOA: Dead or Alive Actually yea, its to be expected actually, least as someone who grew up on MK. In many MK character endings (which were later to be proved true or flase in later MK titles) had endings that lead to their own destruction, and a not so happy ending. Take MK Armageddon for exapmle, in Scorpions ending his son was revived, along with his clan, but his son soon gets kidnapped by Quan chi. Now does that sound like a happy ending?
Getting back on topic, I liked the movie so far, and I love the actors who they got to play the characters, they fit well, minus that Devon Aiko (sp?) who plays Kasumi. And getting Keven Nash to play Bass = major props!

And yes, games are like that now.
Once in awhile a game will have 'some' characters that cause their own 'destruction', but they still live happily first.

And farther more, games shouldn't be made into movies! >_<

Tomb Raider was great, the Cradle of Life bombed...
Mortal Kombat was an amazing movie, Ahnilation blew...
Resdent Evil was fantastic, and actually, the second one was just as great
And now we have DOA: Dead or Alive, and i think its great so far.
But whats worse: Movies that turned into games...
