I think it's worse for a game to be turned into a movie.
Along with books, TV shows, etc.
Because they always have to cut things out, no matter what it is, and pisses fans off. >_<
And they just aren't going to be as good as what it's 'based' off of, that's a given.
Finally, someday it will finally look 'dated' and people will just find it to be crap.
