Re: Princess Diana
Its been 10 years now people really need to let go of what might have been.
quote: What do you think really happened?
I personally think she and Dodi were murdered.
She was rumoured to be pregnant with Dodi's child, and the Royal Family would not want a Muslim to be William and Harry's step dad. Also all the cameras on that night were switched off which is really weird.
I would go towards being murder but i wouldn't jump to speculations. There has been so much hype and controversy around her death that it would be unwise to make any solid conclusion on wether she was murdered or just a freak accident.
The public adored her for her efforts on the way she helped and stood for esspicially with her royal status.
quote: She was murder because there was speculation that she was going to support the Palestinian cause which would look bad on the British Royal Family(since the USA supports Israel).
And that she was going out with a Muslim.
She always caused uproar among the royal family to the many things she thought needed to be done. I admired her to the fact that she wanted and did more than want any of the royal family have ever done with there status. She proved to have excellent leadership skills on what needed to be done and the best way to go about doing it.
quote: Diana is now just a false hero who continues to get publicity. Winston Churchill rescued this country from Hitler, did a lot more than Diana did... don't see his concert anywhere? Nelson fought off the French and saved Europe, lot more than Diana did but she ranks higher in achievements and praise. Newton discovered gravity and formulated physics... 50 times the hero Diana was. She did some good things but a hero! blah!
Sounds a rather callous statment to make Genral Q. Winston Churchill did a great deal during the second world war and alot of thanks goes out towards him. He was considered a hero at the time but that was then and this is now. Diana gets alot of praise because she is more up to date. Winston is not reconised as a hero of the present but rather a hero of the past. He is sill hounered by many as a great prime minster for all his efforts.
LOL Newton may have discovered gravity but he never finished it off, instead it lay unfinished till Albert Enstien came along and filled in all vital the missing gaps.
Newton still get enourmous praise from sceintists to all pupils who still take note of Newtons laws of gravity. But newton wasn't a leader he was a sceintist. Diana is not priased for physics, instead more for showing how to guide the people.
I wouldn't have said Diana was a hero though. Perhaps a great leader that didn't manage to fully fullfill what she was going to do due to her untimely death.
quote: She was a very good person and she was a massive celebrity so its no wonder so many people liked her. Then she dies like that, possibly even murdered. It'll leave a big impact even to this day, 10 years later people still think of her. She was the most famous woman at that time. Shes a big figure in England, considering she was part of the royal family and is the mother of William and Harry.
It was a tragic that a strong leader which is what the public and society still needed was tooken away before she could fullfill herself.
But the public really needs to get over this, its been 10 years now since she died. I understand having a concert to signify of what kind of person she was and the morals she stood for. But the public still seem to dwell in complete limbo over her death. True diana may never be replaced but everyone needs to move on forward. It seems to show how weak most people have become as they were used to Diana showing them the way all the time, unable to do so themselves.
