Might aswell try it out. I've actually been more interested in cooking lately, I've made quite a few things. Was it the talk about food that gave you the idea?

That topic was part to blame.
I have done some cooking so thought that a forum about food and cooking would bring more intrest and have something else to talk about. Everyone has some culinary skill in the kitchen.
As i said before members could post up there own or recipes that they have tried out to others. Even give your own tips and history behind it.
We could even have a cooking compition and post up your photos of the dish you made.

I've been making basic things really, like chicken fajita wraps, spaghetti, pasta, chicken (with sauce, some vegetables and rice, mmm kinda like a chicken curry). Then theres some other things I got from a recipe book which turned out quite nicely, not always perfect but I'm learning. xD I still wanna try making loads more things though, its fun and nice to have something new and tastey(especially if its healthy too). What about you?
It's not just a ff7 board BTW the reason I made all those forums was because I wanted the board to be more about video games, not really sure where to put a cooking forum maybe in the "Extras" category. What do you think? Or should I make a new category and have other forums with it?

Sounds delicious Zeen, perhaps you should pop by some time and whisk somthing up for me.
I have tried a range of cuisine though going to concentre on mastering scottish cuisine. You will see what kind of dishes i make with the recipes i bring in.

I noticed, though i think you have made a tad too many and split them up far too much. I mean racing games and sporting games can fall into the same category, the same with simulation and stratgey/simulation. You may want to consider combining some forums or doing away with them if they don't pick up in post.

A person should have some form of culinary skill and if he dosen't what better way to pick it up from here. Nobody should rely on there partner to do all the culinary work.

I was wondering that myself. I have it all mapped how we could go about it. I would suggest putting it after the genral section but before the video games section and have a seprate divider for the cooking forums. I was thinking either two or one forums.
Forum 1
Cooking forum where all members create topics on recipe's and give a step by step instruction of method and a list of ingredients. People wanting to ask questions would simply post on the topic which has the slected recipe.
Forum 2
This could be a seprate forum or combined with the first one. This forum could be about the history of food, ingredients and serve as quick tips or anything thats related to cooking.
We can talk about it more on msn if you want?

Its an euthisastic idea that may encourage new members to join the board as anybody searching on google about food may come accross our board.
Its also a project for our old and present members to get into as its something completly new. Not to mention alot of them probally could do with learning the basic of culinary.

Hmm, yeah I think your right. I think I had it that way before but I couldn't put long enough descriptions. xD

The thing is the board is kinda low on members as it is I don't think anyone other than you (or me) would post in it. So... definatly no need for 2 forums dedicated to it. Also I'm not sure about it being in the 'General' section because I have the main things on there: "General Chat" "Debates" "News & Politics" "Entertainment -movies, music, etc" "Fanwork" and an "Anime" forum. Cooking would seem kinda random in with those, as those are the major things people would tend to want to talk about and there are hardly posts in them anyway. I just think it would seem out of place kinda thing. Might add it in the Extras?

Re: A cooking forum Oh, there is a huge difference between a 'porn thread' and a 'p0rn thread'. The reason is soo awesome, it would make your face disappear. P0rn is a great power and menace.
I also think we should have a Sports Forum as well and a book place.
