"Unite against fascism"

http://www.uaf.org.uk/

This this just me, or is it using fascism to attack fascism ? This is yet another copy of of british politics tactics, constant bombardment of insults and complaints on every other party.

The left and right wings of britain seems to be really going at each other now, with the conservatives not making any decent recovery, and liberal democrats doing... whatever they do all the time, groups like BNP and "Unite against Fascism" seems to be the thing making politics half intresting lately. It'll be intresting to see next election just how well the BNP do after constant attacks from all other political groups ( even the other right wing parties seem to be against them ).

What side of the political spectrum is everyone else on ? I've always thought I was slightly leaning into the right side ( conservative ), but now I'm not so sure. After taking a quiz I ended up scoring left wing instead, so I think I'm quite central.

I definitely lean more to the right . I wouldn't put much stock in a quiz to determine your political affiliation though.

Just because I lean to the right though doesn't mean I won't vote for something/someone democrat if agree with it. Of course the Dems don't usually legislate many things I agree with. emoticon

I was looking over that site and found it quite funny.
For example: "Students at Manchester University achieved a landmark victory against fascism and racism on Wednesday 17th November. The student union general meeting passed a motion which said "Any active member of the British National Party (BNP) will have their union membership revoked and be banned from union buildings and events, subject to due process"

Now they claim to be against facism and racism, yet they are clearly discriminating against anyone in the BNP. I don't know about you, but I would defintely call that facism. So ace is right, they are fighting facism with facism.

My response: I think Targos's fate hinges on how much Shawford can pay us from the Targos treasury.

This little baby should give you a good solid idea of where you folk stand.
Just for the record, I'm a left wing libertarian, closest to Nelson Mandela.

Yeah, seen this on another forum, not really quite sure if its accurate, I've also been placed in the left wing libertarian section, but always considered myself more central, and slightly leaning into conservatism, but oh well, apparently I'm a commie at heart.

Whoa, hold on there. You can't say that kind of thing nowadays. The proper term is 'that you show socialist tendencies.' emoticon
Sounds about right though. You knowledge of history (and how we've screwed up in the past) seems to prevent you from taking an extreme stand on either left, right, facism or libertarian. At least that's what I'm gathering anyway. ^_^ You're certainly centralised, but by the sounds of it, you're cartwheeling along the four quadrants, trying to find your feet!

Well considering there hasnt been any forms of true communism yet, and that America smites any forms of it from growing ( italy, russia, vietnam etc ) using both military and undercover operations ( yes italy ) you cant really say that I cant say those kind of things nowadays.

Living in a country which is currently in a socialist government, we have a bunch of once-poor-now-stinking-rich blokes borrowing and throwing money around at everything. Sure Britain is doing strong, but we're getting more and more in dept cause the politicians wont stop borrowing money.

As for dancing round the political spectrum pole, maybe I am, there are times where nationalist governments are nessisary, and sometimes there is times where it needs libertarians, it all depends on the people in the country, and the governments of other countries. To stick to one side of beliefs for your whole life, for someone like me that tries to predict the future and to turn it my way means I'm only holding myself down. I need the open mindness that I have to fully acheive what I'm trying to do ( dont ask what that is, I havent a clue what the hell I'm talking about at this point ), and so explains why I seem to skip round the axis of politics.

Just for the record, I apologise if my previous post seemed rude, I was just joking. It's perfectly fine if you see the need for different governments at different times. It's choice thing after all, and your sense of logic is excellent anyway. ^_^
So, in summary, what's your view of your country? I haven't come across many (if any) British people in my lifetime, so it would be nice to hear how things are going with our "Mother". ^_^

As guessed I'm a Left wing Libertarian, though I didn't expect to be so extremely left. Maybe it is a little inaccurate?

Ah sorry, you see I hate it when america spreads "democracy", when it forces other countries to have governments that is benificial to america. Its called fascism. I hope China does something with its superpower status soon so its not wasted on them.
