posticon UK - Will stopping teenagers wearing hoodies help our society?

Well for those of you who don't know, in England the politicans are discussing teenagers who wear hoodies.

Tony Blair believes these teenagers intimidate people and is glad they have been banned from Bluewater. (a shopping centre I go to)

They are also thinking of banning teenagers from wearing hoodies altogether.

Now I think its the most stupidest idea ever. Stopping teenagers from wearing a certain type of clothing isnt going to prevent crime (as they think it will do) or change much else for that matter. If I decide to wear one because I think it might rain will they kick me out of the shopping centre? Or wherever else they ban them? If they want to tackle crime I say get more policemen out there on the streets, I believe the crime is quite high over here and especially around places like London and more local to me, Woolwich, Thamesmead are full of these people. Dress codes aren't going to do much at all.

I know, they banned people wearing them because it intimidates customers in Bluewater.

Over here there are alot of teenagers (boys) who wear them and it covers their faces, people feel threatened by them because alot of attacks and muggings are from these people who wear them. And they feel as though they're the ones who do the most crime.

Stopping this isn't going to help improve the crime, and its silly to have a dress code in a shopping centre. So I don't agree ith this method, I think its the easy way out.

That is extremly stupid. We have a stupid rule like that in Ohio though, we can't show our underwear at all or else we will get arrested and fined. It is stupid and i can't understand these stupid rules. But of course hoodies is way more retarded.

You put ANY trust into your politicians ? lol.

One of the Conservative MP's ( forget his name, he's the cooler one with the blonde dyed rough styled hair ) said that this is totaly rediculas, as he himself wears one when he's out jogging.

This is just another stupid move by the labour party into controlling how this country works, and should hopefully be ignored.
