Parents

How do you feel parents cope with looking after children in this day and age ?

Personaly, I feel capitalism has pushed us to a point where work seriously effects the level of parenting skills.

Yep, a lot of parents don't bother with their kids much because of work. They treat them like another job basically. In my opinion if your going to have kids you should have a stable income and one parent should stay at home with the child for a good few years.

I got more close to my mother because she was home more, only my dad worked and we were quite poor then. They put their kids first instead of having more money for the lusher things.

Re: Parents

Yeah a lot of people treat work first and then their kids second. Then of course you have the people who do stay at home and raise their kids, but still do a half assed job of it.

My response: I think Targos's fate hinges on how much Shawford can pay us from the Targos treasury.

I think in the end, kids will be happier with the attention from their parents than wealth and a luxurious life (not to the extreme though emoticon)

edit: Well excuse me for the typo, m'am!

You mean than wealth right? And I agree. Parents should be parents, if they didn't want the responsibility they should have thought about the consequences earlier. emoticon

I also think parents always want their kids to be like themselves, whats right/wrong in their world may not be the same way for their child. This is especially for religious parents, they will "force" their beliefs on them at a young age so they don't know any better. emoticon

I totally agree, I don't have anything against religions but I think it's so true that when your parents have a certain religion it's hard for the kids to have another, It's kinda forced upon them.
