Re: Rate my Sig It's a member of the "Poor-Fellow Soldiers of Christ and the Temple of Solomon." Since that's a mouthful, we all know and love/hate them as the "Knights Templar." They were a group of soldier monks founded after the First Crusade. When Christendom took back Jerusalem, the Knights Templar assured the protection of vulnerable pilgrims flocking to Jerusalem. They had Papal backing alongside support from the nobles, making them very powerful. Their infrastructure was very organised, with their post-Crusade money-lending activities said to one of the influences of modern banking. They were recognised by the eight-pointed cross shown in the picture (not to be confused with the ither eight-pointed cross, the Maltese Cross.)
